The Gospel According to Daniel
location: worship center
Often referred to by scholars as "the Revelation of the Old Testament," the book of Daniel brings us face to face with suffering, danger, suspense, corruption, betrayal, prophecy, warring angels, miracles, desperate prayer, and hope. The overriding theme is this: When life appears dark and hopeless, Jesus is whispering, "I've got this. Trust me."
Join us as we mine the treasures of scripture verse-by-verse, "looking over the shoulders" of Daniel and his friends, as they are taken as prisoners to Babylon and face execution. Then, like John the disciple half a century later, Daniel is given revelation of what God has in store for mankind as he prepares the world for the glorious return of Jesus Christ.
The book of Daniel is pregnant with the presence of Almighty Christ. He protects his people in the furnace and the lion's den, and is described as a King of an everlasting kingdom. (Referring to his pervasive presence in the Old Testament, Jesus said, "These are the very scriptures that testify of/point to me.")
Join me. Let's discover that following the wild, untamable Lion of Judah is as adventurous now as it was when the scriptures were being written.
